Way to open windows and allow for ventilation

Insect screens are functional and attractive screens of windows and doors made of dense mesh, which protect the interior of the building from insects.
The insect screen is made from carbon fiber and is resistant to weathering and damage. DAKO offers six types of insect screens, which allows you to choose the right solution for your needs.

Roller-shutter-mounted insect screens
The DK-MO framed window insect screen fulfills its task from early spring to autumn.
The insect screen is mounted to the window frame using rotary handles The frames are made of an aluminum profile in two variants: with a “fin” adjacent to the window frame and without a “fin” with a brush seal. The second option is used when the window frame is completely built in or when a roller shutter is installed on the window. The system allows you to work with most window profiles. In autumn, the insect screen can be dismantled, cleaned, and stored until the next season in order to extend its life.

The door insect screen, used for balcony doors, is mounted with hinges to the building facade or door frame.
It is equipped with a handle for opening, and magnets to hold the insect screen closed. The insect screen also has a brush seal around the perimeter, which maximally protects the room from getting insects and dirt from the outside. In addition there are self-locking devices mounted in the insect screen, automatically closing the open insect screen.

Pleated insect screens are made of a special pleated mesh mounted on a structure made of aluminum profiles, making them durable and resistant to weathering.
This system is characterized by extremely smooth movement, which makes its use very simple and does not require the use of a lot of force. Vertical pleated insect screens are designed primarily for installation on window joinery. Closing and opening the insect screen is very simple thanks to a system of springs installed in the lower guide. The tension elements have been hidden under a special masking profile, which has the ability to push and pull at any time.
The maximum dimensions of the vertical version are 2300 mm x 2000 mm.

Insect screens are available in all types of roller shutters in the systems: front-mounted, top-mounted, and flash-mounted.
The insect screen is wound by a spring into the interior of the roller shutter box. Due to the design of the system, the maximum size of roller blinds with integrated insect screen is limited.

Sliding and pleated insect screens
The DK-MP sliding frame insect screen system is used in large, glazed recesses of balconies, terraces, and winter gardens.
The insect screen moves between the upper and lower running rail. In the lower part, there is a roller with a mechanism that enables smooth adjustment of the angle of inclination of each unit. A wide selection of running rails allows you to mount the insect screen in various ways, on almost all types of doors. The system uses a brake to slow down the movement of the wing in the extreme position and a bumper to prevent the insect screen from hitting the running rail.

This system is characterized by extremely smooth movement, which makes its use very simple and does not require the use of a lot of force. This product is ideal for patio doors and in balcony alcoves. Pleated mesh is supported by one of two types of sliding profiles. When closing, it is arranged in an accordion, which is partially hidden in the side guide, so it takes up little space. The advantage of this solution is the possibility to choose one of three types of lower profiles (standard, flat, oblique), allowing for free movement.
The maximum dimensions of the side version are 4000 mm x 2700 mm.
