Breathing Life into 2021

Woven Shades

The year is almost at an end, and yet, there is still so much to do. It has been a tough year for everyone, and I know many people that want to change things up, revitalize themselves, their families and their lives with the coming of the new year. Many people are taking oaths and vows to work out and eat healthier in the new year, and to be thankful for all that we have. These are excellent ideas for getting a fresh start and forgetting the troubles that have plagued us. I for one need to change things up, not only for my physical health, but my mental health as well. Many of you might even feel the same as me.

There are a few things that we can do to change things up, bring in some fresh blood and work up a bit of a sweat. One thing that I have begun to notice as the months went on is how much I want to sleep in a different space. To eat and work in different spaces. After so long stuck in my own, I want to break out a bit. To that end, I have repainted my room, shuffling around my furniture and putting up some shelves so that I can better organize my things. All that’s left to do now is pick out some new window treatments that will match my new look. 2021 is going to be the new year. A year to pull out brighter colors and patterns, to experiment a little and get away from the samey look that’s run roughshod. It’s not only the bedroom either. Office space, living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchen could all do with a bit of revamping. If you want to go a bit different, bring a bit of dazzle back into your home, these may be just the thing.

If you want to impress people and brighten up your home, it may be time to bring in wooden shutters. These window treatments are perfect for living and dining rooms, with a multitude of choices for natural wood colors or bright paints. Deep rich mahogany or stunning light blue can refresh a space and add depth to the room without needing a deep pocket. With designs like Heritance Shutters or Newstyle, these dressings will pair excellently in the dining room of any house or home.

Or if you want a little bit less color and more practical usage, cellular shades will keep you warm in the winter and cool in summer as these shades do it all. Also known as honeycomb shades,  this window treatment is perfectly designed for all the main tasks of protecting you and your home. The dual layers of fabric provide excellent light control and filtration, preventing any glare that might interfere with your work, while the air pockets in each roll help regulate the temperature, keeping the air outside from vastly affecting the air inside. Both excellent choices to breathe a little life, and make breathing a little easier this new year.
